Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has officially filed for an initial public offering in the USA.
Alibaba is a Chinese e-commerce company with several businesses that are similar to both E-bay and Amazon.

According to Alibaba: China has less than half the "retail space per capita" of Europe and Japan. The USA has more than 4x the retail space per capita than China.
5. The sheer numbers around e-commerce parcels - especially Alibaba - are impressive. Alibaba has millions of active buyers who register over a billion annual orders.
