Another interesting development is the Neomed Institute. The institute aspires to be a biopharmaceutical research hub. The institute is a public/ private consortium made up of major pharmaceutical companies and the Quebec Government.
- The NEOMED Institute was recently given a $1.2 m (Oct 2018)contribution by Pfizer Canada.
- The NEOMED institute plans to expand their facilities to around 10,000 square meters.
The idea is to share lab equipments and possibly a vivarium. The Neiomed Institute boasts over 100 researchers in bio tech and life sciences.
